Example of a slant wash. The object, sandwiched between sheets of holytex, is first humidified. A long sheet of tek-wipe is wetted with deionized or distilled water, then smoothed on a piece of plexi using a squeege. The object is placed on the tek-wipe, one end dipped in a bath of clean water (on the left), the other draped over the end of the plexi and placed above an empty tray (on the right). The water will move from the full tray, through the tek-wipe, and drip into the empty tray through capillary action. Photo courtesy of Sandrine Blais. 2021.
